Cookie policy
This policy describes what cookies and similar technologies we use on the Webmakeria website, what we use them for, and how you can control them. It supplements our general Privacy Policy in accordance with the GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive (Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications).
The website operator and the controller for cookies is Webotvůrci s.r.o., registered office at Houbalova 3023/8, Líšeň, 628 00 Brno, Company ID: 08320004, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno, file no. C 113072.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember your choice (for example, your consent to data processing), to measure traffic, or to improve your experience on the site. In this document, the term "cookies" covers both classic HTTP cookies and items in localStorage and sessionStorage that serve a similar function.
Categories of cookies we use
1. Strictly necessary (always active, no consent required)
Without these cookies the website would not work properly. They are processed on the basis of legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

2. Analytics (only with consent)
They help us measure how the website is used — how many visitors arrive, which pages they read the most, where they come from. Without this data we could not improve the site. They are processed solely on the basis of your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.
They are deployed through Google Tag Manager (container GTM-MJVJBHG) with cookies from Google Analytics 4. It runs in Consent Mode v2 — if you do not give consent, GA4 receives only anonymized signals and no cookies are stored.

3. Marketing (only with consent)
So far we do not actively use any marketing cookies (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads remarketing, etc.). The "Marketing" option in the cookie banner is prepared for future use — if we deploy remarketing or conversion tracking, it will load only after you give consent. For now this category does not store any data.
4. Third-party cookies loaded after your interaction
Some elements of the website load third-party cookies only after you actively click — typically embedded YouTube videos. Before you click, only a static preview is shown, with no YouTube scripts loaded. After you click, YouTube loads an iframe from the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which under Google's terms does not store cookies until you play the video.
How you can control cookies
- Cookie banner — you were asked to make a choice on your first visit. You can choose "Strictly necessary only" at any time, or adjust the details via "Custom choice".
- Changing your choice — clear the site data in your browser (Storage → localStorage → delete
webotvurci-consent-v1) and the banner will be shown again the next time the page loads. - Browser settings — all modern browsers let you block cookies across the board or delete them selectively. Guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
- Google Analytics opt-out — you can install the official Google Analytics opt-out add-on, which disables GA4 across all websites.
Transfer of data outside the EU
Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC, with its registered office in the USA. Cookie data is transferred on the basis of standard contractual clauses under European Commission Decision 2021/914 and the Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified. If you wish to prevent the transfer, do not give consent for analytics cookies.
Your rights
In relation to the processing of data through cookies, you have all the rights of a data subject under the GDPR — the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and objection. You will find the details and contact information in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time — see the instructions above in the "Changing your choice" section.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be amended in the future — typically when we deploy a new measurement service or change a provider. The current version is always available on this page. We will notify you of any material change by showing the cookie banner again.
